Verbum was founded in 1987 with the publication of the Verbum Journal, the first magazine devoted to the creative applications of desktop media, sponsored by Apple Computer and Adobe Systems. In August of 1991 Verbum shipped Verbum Interactive, the nascent industry’s first true multimedia product: a double CD-ROM featuring a pioneering interface design, stunning graphics, animation, video and music. During the 1990s, Verbum produced leading instructional books for digital media professionals, including several combination book/multimedia packages considered to be milestones in new media publishing, and developed various multimedia and web-based projects for clients such as Apple Computer, Dynamic Graphics, IBM, Toshiba, Kodak, General Electric and Lucent Technologies. Verbum developed a consumer CD-ROM in 1998, Peter Norton's PC Guru, one of the most advanced multimedia reference CD-ROMs ever produced.

Verbum has developed over 18 branded books including Multimedia Power Tools interactive book/CD-ROM, Kodak's Official Photo CD Handbook with 2 interactive CDs, the 100,000+ selling Desktop Color Book, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Protecting Yourself Online. These books are available from amazon.com. Click below for more details on each publication.
